July 2019-Risk Society Legacies Plenary, STEPS Uncertainty Symposium
It was a wonderful experience to be part of ESRC STEPSCentre symposium in July, The Politics of Uncertainty: Practical Challenges for Transformative Action. This was definitely one of most interdisciplinary conference I’ve attended on the topic of risk.
A series of blog posts reflecting on the event includes contributions from Richard Bronk, Emery Roe, Mark Fenton-O’Creevy, Nick Taylor, Michele Nori, Rose Cairns, Nathan Oxley, Martin Mahony, Silke Beck, Detlef Müller-Mahn and Irene Guilt can be found here: https://steps-centre.org/event/the-politics-of-uncertainty-practical-challenges-for-transformative-action/#blog
Recordings of speakers from the symposium including plenaries (see below) and the final ‘fishbowl’ session can be found here: https://steps-centre.org/event/the-politics-of-uncertainty-practical-challenges-for-transformative-action/#video
Finally, the organiser and discussion group convenors later recorded short conversations reflecting on the symposium into a four-part podcast: https://steps-centre.org/news/steps-uncertainty-podcast/
So the conversation continues!
